Bistro 42 in Carlsville/Sturgeon Bay opened in 2008 and continues to entice new diners with a great menu, and great brick oven "fired" pizzas!
Open for lunch and dinner, their lunch menu offers a variety of Panini sandwiches, like a smoked turkey (with apple wood smoked bacon!), a grilled chicken Panini with Door Peninsula Winery's own Door Peninsula Sweet Apple Wine-marinated chicken breast. a Reuben and even a perch Panini. All served with chips, and on Ciabatta bread.There are also salads and seasonal soups for lunch, and of course pizza! Made from scratch, with real Wisconsin cheese of course, these thin-crusted pizzas are fired to perfection in brick ovens so your pizza is perfect every time. Great flavor! Choose from an Italian Sausage pizza, with roasted red peppers, caramelized onions and Italian sausage, or make your own up by adding you favorite ingredients from meats to veggies. Fun and good!
DinnersDinners can include appetizers like stuffed mushroom (very good), bruschetta and salads. All the Paninis are available as well as a several pasta dishes, chicken parmesan. And pizza!
If you are heading here for the first time, get the pizza! Only two places in Door County that we know of firing up pizzas in a brick oven, and these are the specialty here.
This is a casual place, that is adjacent and adjoined to their Door Peninsula Winery which makes some fabulous wines. So go spend a couple of hours, tour the winery then have a great pizza!
Easy to find, right on the corner of Highway 42 and County I, both Door Peninsula Winery and Bistro 42 will be a great stop for you on your next trip to Door County.
