Part of the wonderful destination spot of Liberty Square is not only the great restaurant, The Bistro, and The Shops (like 11 altogether under one roof)  - but there is now Galileo's Italian Steakhouse & Bar (formerly The Board Room)!

This elegant room, that is impeccably designed and furnished, hosts special fine dining dinners with a great menu and wine list. New, or more appropriately "reinvented," in 2011, Galileo's Italian Steakhouse & Bar, is gaining in recognition.

We wanted to make sure you ware aware of it now.  we have dined here once already and will return.  I would highly recommend the Pappardelle Bolognese, which was sweet with ricotta cheese, traditional meat sauce and plentiful.  Extremely tasty, and the pasta was perfectly al dente - excellent.

The bread with garlic and rosemary oil was very good.

We also had an order of Bruschetta, which was 6 thin pieces of toasted bread with basil and cheese, with a small bowl of tomato and onion medley in a balsamic-based misture.  Fresh and good, and the touch of cheese is different.

A perfect wine with the meal was a bottle of Rosso Toscano, which is rich and subtle at the same time, with some fruit notes (citrus) and once it's past the middle of your tongue, poof - it is gone!  Well priced at $24 a bottle.

The rooms are gorgeous and the solid mahagany bar is outstanding.  This is first-class appointments all the way.  The menu is offers many choices from antipasti, salads, sides, pastas and steaks, fish and more!   If you stop in, please tell Anthony and the staff that DoorCountyNavigator.com sent you. 

And in the morning you can get coffee and bakery there, log online with free Wi-Fi and enjoy the ambiance, casual conversation and more.  After 5 PM, the elegant dinners start-up.  These guys doing everything first-class, all the way.

And the Gourmet Deli at Liberty Square, part of the Liberty Square shops, offers a lot of the wines, as well as other gourmet food items, for purchase.

The owners have done a remarkable job in transforming the entire Liberty Square complex into a desired destination for all travelers to Door County.
