Sunsets – one of Door County’s specialties!

Some time in your life, you must see a Door County sunset, and we want to tell you about another wonderful place to see one.

At the end of the road, past the White Gull Inn in Fish Creek, you will reach a small park, Sunset Beach, that is right on the water, facing west. On the grass overlook, there are several benches for relaxing and watching the sun go down. You can also walk down to the rocky water’s edge, skip some stones and wait for the sunset! A cool breeze, Chamber Island in the distance – ahh – this is a great spot year-round. Wow – this is one spectacular place – very romantic for couples, great for kids, and just awe-inspiring for all.

Words cannot adequately describe it, so take a look at the pictures which are worth way more than 1,000 words each!

How to Get There

If heading south on Hwy 42 coming from north Fish Creek or points beyond, keep going straight instead of taking the left towards Egg Harbor. If coming from Egg Harbor and points south on Hwy 42, at the stop sign as you enter the downtown Fish Creek area, take a left. Go as far as you can and park!
