Docked at the Quarterdeck Marina in Sturgeon Bay, you can hop aboard the Lifebreeze for 3 or more days of “doing it yourself” sailing and living aboard. If you have the necessary skipper experience, you can captain this beautiful 40-foot sailboat out into the waters of Door County, and even further, to the open waters of the northern Lake Michigan, from Traverse Bay to the Mackinaw Island.

Launched in 2004, this is a “bareboat” charter where you are the captain. Therefore you need to have the appropriate experience and will have to provide a Sailing Resume prior to chartering the boat. This is the only place in Door County where you can “bareboat” charter as big and as beautiful a sailing vessel as Lifebreeze! So all aboard!

This boat can sleep six people, has 2 queen size beds and a twin, has two heads with showers, entertainment center, all the instruments you can need (like GPS/Chart Plotter, Autopilot), a swim platform with ladder, fully equipped galley, powered dinghy and more.

We spoke with Peter, the yacht’s owner, and talked about the experience people have aboard his sailboat.

“We have had sailors from all over the country chartering our boat. Often it’s their family vacation and they bring the spouse and the kids. These “non-sailors” enjoy it not only because the comfort and conveniences provided by a bigger boat, but also because there are so many different things to see and experience in Door County - so there is never a dull moment. Some like roughing it by anchoring overnight in secluded places and others like to spend time in the picturesque harbors, taking advantage of the great selection of tours, shopping and restaurants.”
