Food/Dining : Ephraim

Second Story Restaurant
10018 State Road 42 (Hwy 42)
Above the Ephraim Shores Motel
Ephraim
920-854-2371

This is a restaurant easy to pass up as you drive up or down on Hwy 42! It really is up on the second floor of the motel, so you really have to look for it. Park out in front near the lobby of the motel, enter and go up the stairs to the right of the lobby. You will find the atmosphere pleasant, and if you get there anywhere near sunset, the view is absolutely spectacular as the sun comes down over Eagle Harbor's sparkly waters.

We have dined here many times, and the food has always been very good. They have a small salad bar set up that comes with many of the entrees. We have had both lunch and dinner there, and have always enjoyed the food. And they have kids things on the menu too, and kids are welcomed. We have had fresh lake perch, Reuben sandwiches, pastas and more. Homemade baked goods, soups – simply good foodyou will enjoy!

Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, the Second Story Restaurant is a genuine find because the food is always fresh tasting, the service friendly, and the sunsets wonderful! And there are plenty of choices on the menu, so even people with a large group will find something to meet each person’s appetite.

If you plan to eat dinner here, try to time it to catch a sunset! Of course, 30 minutes or so before the sun is really setting, the light pouring in is very strong - so the semi-transparent blinds will be lowered - but not to worry! They always raise them for the sunsets – you cannot miss an opportunity to see one of Door County’s unique sunsets. So next time you are in Door County, stay at the Ephraim Shores Motel, and dine at the Second Story Restaurant! Enjoy!
