This is a grand old place! It’s about 101 years old (established in 1899) and pretty much looks it, but in a great way – it is oozing with character, and way tucked away on Washington Island – it’s like something you’d see in Key Largo. There is a restaurant side, and a seating area outside under a porch-type roof as you can see. And then there is the bar side – really old, really cool – pool table and all. Very rustic, untouched for years – it is a genuine place and worth a visit just for the ambiance – if you like this sort of thing. We have had lunches there and the food was very good, and they have ice creams for deserts, which is great on a hot day. Take a nice ferryboat ride to Washington Island and I think you’ll enjoy this place a lot.
