This is a delightful weekend! The lighthouses in Door County are magnificent to see, especially Cana Island am Eagle Bluff (in Peninsula State Park). You can try to tour the lighthouses on your own, or there are organized excursions, even by boat, to take in many of these beautiful lighthouses that helped guide many a ship through tough and rough waters. Even if you miss this weekend, be sure to schedule some time to visit a few of Door County's best if you have an interest in these fascinating structures.

The Door County area proved to have something for everyone in our group. I was the only one in our group who had visited Door County and was thrilled that this quaint county now holds a special place in my friends' hearts. It was everything I said it would be! For the nature lovers and photographers in our group, we enjoyed the sunset cruise from Gills' Rock, Penninsula State Park beach, Cana Island Lighthouse, and criss-crossing between the main roads. The shoppers enjoyed every single bay and harbor and all points in between. We all enjoyed the Penninsula Players and regret that we couldn't stay longer. The locals and merchants were so friendly and welcoming. We will return soon to visit our favorite places and take in some new sights. - Dee C.
