If you remember when you were a kid going to the "drive-in"  movies, then you will love reminiscing and catching a first-run movie at the Skyway Drive-In Theatre in Fish Creek!

And if you have kids, or grand-kids or nieces and nephews, then bring them along to this magnificent experience!  We love this place and all it stands for!

We have gone to the Skyway Drive-In Theatre for probably the last 30+ years!  Now that doesn't make us among the first to attend, since the Skyway opened up way back in 1950.  Staying power.  Why?  Because it's just downright fun to see a movie in the great outdoors, in the comfort of your car, SUV, station wagon, convertible or whatever.  It's just plain, old-fashioned fun and everyone loves it.

The Skyway is pretty much how it was when it opened, with a few updates.  The projection equipment is first rate, the bathrooms were expanded a bit, and you can listen to the movie through your car radio system now.  Otherwise, it's a throwback of simpler, fun times.

The snack shop has your traditional fare: popcorns, foot-long hot dogs, and nachos, pizzas, tons of candy perfect for munching, pop, drinks, coffee and lots of ice cream novelties.  I think we have eaten just about everything they offer, probably a lot more than once.  Good, fun, drive-in food!

You get a double feature for one low entry price per person!   The feature is a first- run movie, and the second feature is usually the movie that was the first-run feature the last time - fresh movies!  They usually change on a Friday, but visit their website always for the latest information.  So you get a great drive-in experience, double feature, AND they even show old-time cartoony advertisements.  So drive-in early, as soon as it gets dark the movies begin, and catch the double feature.  Get there early enough to hit the snack shop for all your goodies, then settle into your car, tune in your radio and sit back and enjoy!

Open from May through early October, the Skyway Drive-In Theatre is a genuine find, and one of the few drive-ins still left in our parts, and the only one in Door County.  Do yourself and your family a favor: head to the Skyway Drive-In Theater for some honest, wholesome fun that will make you smile during the movies, and long after when you remember and reflect back on your experience.
