For adventure or shopping, in summer or winter – look into Bay Shore Outfitters for a unique Door County thrill! Their shop is loaded with tremendous lines of activewear and equipment, like no other shop in Door County. Line's like The North Face, Prana, LOLE, Patagonia, Quicksilver, KEEN, Chaco and others. We love it.
We spoke with the owners and a tour guide at Bay Shore Outfitters! What a great find! And they now have a new Bay Shore Outfitters shop in Sturgeon Bay too, opened May 2017.
And now they rent bicycles too! Cool!
There are several types of kayak tours you can participate in.
Or you can rent canoes or kayaks on your own. From recreational kayaks to light touring kayaks, to tandem kayaks and canoes, to performance light touring kayaks or canoes – you can get it all right here. I can tell you, there is nothing like seeing Door County from the water, and a kayak tour is an awesome way to do it.
Bay Shore Outfitters gets a lot of repeat customers and families (ages 10 and up). They can even customize a tour for you, and have taken out as many as 24 people at a time! Ask them for more information – if you have a water trip in mind that you have always wanted to take in Door County, they put it together for you – ask!
Want to learn more about kayaking? You can take kayak lessons, too.
Winter too! Yep - they rent winter equipment also!
Do It All Here!
In the winter, you can rent snowshoes or cross-country skis, and sledding tubes (take them to Hill #17 in Peninsula State Park!) so you can try out that winter sports you have been wanting to try for so long. Bay Shore Outfitters makes it easy for you.
