Door County Interiors & Design’s name says it all. That’s because this business is all about helping you find furnishings, accessories and art for your interior—as well as design services like flooring, window treatments and countertops.

The store is located just two miles south of downtown Egg Harbor on the east side of Hwy. 42. There is plenty of parking, as Door County Interiors & Design is located on its own parcel of land in a peaceful setting that’s convenient to homeowners from all over Door County as well as Green Bay and other areas. Have a second home in Door County?  Or get something special for your main home - this is your place!

Furnishings showroom
Enter, and take in the large decorated showroom of quality furnishings for living and greatDoor County Interiors Gorupoing rooms, dining areas, media rooms, bedrooms, outdoor spaces and more.

Owners Carol and Ron Trimberger and their staff arrange furniture in intriguing vignettes. So you can wander around and get ideas for how to group different pieces of furniture and how to complement them with accessories and linens.

Door County Interiors & Design also carries many different styles of furniture. The looks include contemporary, traditional, transitional, coastal and rough luxe styles. The latter is a relatively new addition to the showroom floor. Rough luxe is a timeless decorating style created when wood furnishings that appear worn are paired with beautifully upholstered pieces and stylish accessories. A “rough” whitewashed sidetable with a metal top may be grouped next to a bed with a “luxe” leather headboard—for example.  Whatever your style, you will find it here!

Also popular are upholstery and wood pieces that show contrast—such as a camel color leather loveseat with black wood tables. “We are seeing more contrast in furnishings—the mixing of light and dark,” Carol Trimberger said.

The store carries quality brands. You can tell by looking closely at the upholstered pieces; seat cushions retain loft, and the manufacturers use frames that are hand-cut and assembled from hardwoods. Fabric prints on furnishings are hand-matched.

Perhaps best of all you can feel free to roam the showroom floor without a sales person hovering over you. Door County Interiors & Design’s owners and associates are always there to help you—if you have questions or want their help.   They have a wealth of information to share and they stay updated by going to seminars on interior design.

“Our focus is on educating our customers,” said Ron.

We bought a coffee table at Door County Interiors & Design last summer and found the associate extremely helpful. She offered to order styles that would likely appeal to us. We ended up finding a coffee table with a dark finish and transitional design on the showroom floor. And Carol Trimberger and the associate even helped us put the coffee table in the car!

When we were in the market last spring for solar shades for our west-facing windows, we turned to Door County Interiors & Design. We found the associate extremely patient and knowledgeable. We took samples home of various shades colors and brands that allow the homeowner to have a view of the outdoors—even when the shade is down. After we made our choice, an associate came to our home to measure the windows. And in just a couple weeks later, he came back to hang our new energy-efficient and pretty shades. The staff at Door County Interiors & Design are certified Hunter Douglas installers—good to know.
