Food/Dining : Egg Harbor

The Bistro Bar & Grille at Liberty Square

7755 Hwy 42

Egg Harbor

920-868-4800

The Bistro Bar & Grille at Liberty Square is a welcomed addition to the dining scene in Egg Harbor, and continues to get better year after year.

What is “Liberty Square?”  Liberty Square is an Egg Harbor center for dining, shopping, a gourmet deli, art gallery, jewelry and home decor and more.  The two buildings that comprise Liberty Square in the heart of Egg Harbor, warrant a definite stop on your next trip to Door County – for eating, and for shopping (11 shops under one roof), this is one elegant venue for food and fun!  Everything is first-class.

The Bistro itself is tastefully decorated, in rich colors, fine furnishings, upbeat art and inspirational quotes from some notables, such as “One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well” (Virginia Woolf).  We’re here to tell you that here you will get yourself started on the right foot, because here, you will dine well!   The rest is up to you!  For breakfast, lunch or dinner and throughout the year, you will find great food here.   DoorCountyNavigator.com dines here often!

The Food

We love this place, and as we have said, we dine here often.  We are certain you will find the food creative, fun, and delicious.  We have had the Classic Breakfast which comes with 2 eggs, hash browns and bacon or sausage and toast; and a terrific Mediterranean omelet - awesome.

Try a gourmet pizza with BBQ chicken for dinner – comes with grilled chicken, their own homemade BBQ sauce, caramelized onions and a blend of five cheeses!  This is a very good pizza – Italy would be proud!

We also had one of their Exceptional Wraps – a “Blackened Salmon Wrap” with blackened salmon, romaine, tomatoes, green onions, bleu cheese dressing stuffed into a tomato basis wrap.  This was so good, I hated to take the last bite.  I have had it several times!

There is a lot on the menu, and something will appeal to just about anyone.  Appetizers like pan seared crab cakes; lunch entrees like  Grilled portabella or Cuban paninis;  great salads like a spinach pecan or a blackened salmon Caesar; to-die-for soups and chili – you must try the White Chicken Chili,  and settle down for a wonderful dinner.  And another thing I like is that anything on the lunch menu is also available for dinner.

And the dinner menu has a wide selection of offerings, plus a couple of chef specials.  Creative dishes like stuffed chicken Marsala (topped with mushroom Marsala sauce) or a griller rib-eye, or Duck A L'Orange.  You'll find something that appeals to you, and you will love it!

Dine indoors or outdoors under umbrella-ed tables.  Full service bar is available, and the wines served in the Bistro are available for purchase in the shops.

And Bistro Bar & Grille at Liberty Square also serves wine and has a very nice selection of wines at reasonable prices.  And the menu suggests wine pairings with your dinner selections!  Nice touch.  Visit their website for the full and up-to-date menu.

General

In addition, you will want to know that under one roof, connected to the Bistro are 11 elegant shops with jewelry, clothing, home accessories, and art gallery, a Gourmet Deli, wine and liqueur shop with accessories, The Board Room that you can book for private parties and have holiday dinners, and lots more.  There is even The Bistro Bar which is a coffee and bakery bar by day, full service bar in the evenings, and so elegantly appointed that you will think you are in Paris!  Try it!

A great addition to the dining options in Egg Harbor and Door County in general, you will want to make Bistro Bar & Grille at Liberty Square part of your next Door County trip plan!  And please, if you see Chris there (one of the owners who is around and hands-on) or any of the other staff, please tell them that DoorCountyNavigator.com sent you!  Enjoy – we know you will!
