C and C Supper Club

C and C Supper Club in Door CountyBack in 1945 Campbell and Crummell started the C&C Supper Club.  And long before that, we think it was an inn and restaurant, but since about 1980, Alan and Chris Ashley have owned the Club, and our dining experiences here have always been top-notch!

Attached to and part of the C & C, is the Windjammer Lounge which, in season, sports music from Thursday to Saturday nights, with no cover at the door.  This is a great spot to unwind, enjoy some music, and enjoy your time with friends, or make some new ones.  Monday nights at the Windjammer is Taco Night!  We’ve been here for many a Taco Night – you get to make your own tacos, with as much meat and toppings that you want, and enjoy a nice drink.  Great tacos, great fun, and highly recommended by the DCN staff!  So you can almost always stop in the Windjammer before or after dinner too.  It’s open a lot!

The Supper Club

Serving dinner every day in season, and open with winter hours too, the C & C Supper Club serves up all kinds of tempting dishes.  They make all of their own sauces and soups are made right there.

An extensive appetizer selection can range from casual onion rings to chilled oysters on the half-shell; from cheese curds, to escargot succulently broiled in Bourguignon sauce, accompanied by toasted garlic bread; from a nacho grande to an artichoke dip with tortilla chips.   We’ve had this last choice, the cheesy artichoke dip, and it was wonderful.

On the dinner menu, you will find selections from fresh fish to mouth-watering filets, New York strips, and prime rib.  And all dinner entrees include bread & butter, a choice of one of four dinner salads, wild and long grain rice or potato and vegetable du jour.

For the land lovers, you can select a peppercorn encrusted juicy 12 ounce New York Strip steak, smothered in sautéed mushrooms.  On one trip, we enjoyed this selection immensely – we ordered it medium, and it was simply delicious – a great combination of flavors.  Team it up with a nice glass of cabernet, and wow – a wonderful dinner!

We’ve also enjoyed the baby back BBQ ribs – always great with a tangy sauce.  You can also get pork chops, and even a “surf and turf” combination that lets you select the land choice of a half a rack of BBQ ribs or an 8 ounce prime rib, and a choice of seafood, like tender sea scallops.  There are different prices for the combination selected, but all look interesting.

For the seafarers, you can choose from a lobster tail to a lake perch (from the Great Lakes).

We have enjoyed their Mediterranean Shrimp Pasta, which is pasta tricolore (three color pasta) piled high gulf shrimp sautéed in olive oil with balsamic vinegar, capers (love them!), black olives, red onion, some artichoke hearts and sun-dried tomatoes.  Superb!

You can also select from prosciutto scallops, pike, whitefish and more.

Dinners start from about $20 or so.  Selections and offerings may change, so always check with the C & C Supper Club website for what is avaialble now!

The C&C Supper Club also offers a “lighter fare” menu, with such offerings as a mini-prime rib, or pesto gnocchi (excellent), soup and salad combo and more.

Children-friendly, there are several offerings for those under 10, including chicken tenders, spaghetti and meatballs and more.

Wine

Fine wine always enhances a great dinner.  The C & C Supper Club has almost 30 selections by the glass, which is great when everyone wants something different.  They also have about 50 selections by the bottle, reasonably priced, and a wide selection to find something that will complement your entrée.  Check their website for up-to-date details as selections and vintages often change based on availability.

Desserts

You will find it impossible not to find something on the dessert menu that you will love.  Choose from a key lime pie, or an apple cobbler, or a frozen turtle sundae pie.  You will enjoy!

We have dined here many times, with small groups and with large as well, and we have always enjoyed our time and our dinners at the C & C Supper Club.  And don’t miss Taco Nights at the Windjammer Lounge (Mondays!).  So next time you are in Door County, spend some time at the Windjammer Lounge, and at the C & C Supper ClubAnd please tell them when you ask for a table or you’re sitting at the bar, that DoorCountyNavigator.com sent you!
