The Eagle Harbor Inn is difficult to capture in just a few paragraphs. First, it is every bit the traditional, inviting Bed and Breakfast inn together with warm, beautifully decorated rooms, all with private baths—the Great Room adds a double whirlpool and private balcony. Hereafter, Eagle Harbor begins to distinguish itself with its unique and elegant breakfasts served in the dining porch. The breakfast may include a Bruschetta Melt or Swiss Bircher Muesli, as well as homemade scratch bakery, cherry granola and a variety of Door County Private Blend Coffee. Cherry cider and juices round out the selection. On top of this, soothing, live string solos out in the garden may accompany your breakfast!
But, also available at Eagle Harbor are large one and two bedroom suites in seven separate buildings close to the main house. The suites are equally gorgeous and offer a large whirlpool, 2-way fireplaces, kitchen and many other amenities. These will suit couples as well as families.
Also on the grounds is the Commons Building, which houses the indoor pool, exercise room, sauna, WiFi, and a large meeting room that can accommodate corporate guests as well as receptions for up to 74 people, like for family reunions, weddings or rehearsal dinners which Eagle Harbor caters with top drawer food.
All of the above in surroundings that still feel like a quiet retreat – nestled off the main road, away from the traffic noise and in a peaceful setting. The two sitting rooms in the main house are like from a romantic novel – very cozy, with loveseats, bookshelves loaded with great things to sit and read, magazines, period furnishings and more! Nedd and Natalie Neddersen, the innkeepers, have paid attention to every detail.
We toured every room in the main house, and many of the suites around the grounds, the Common House and more – Nedd was very accommodating and gracious in letting us look around extensively.
