Places to Stay : Ephraim

Ephraim Motel
10407 Water St
Ephraim
920-854-5959

The Ephraim Motel is tucked away in the quiet part of Ephraim (off the main road for peace and quiet). It has been totally remodeled in 2002, with all new mattresses in 2004! We love when we see this – because it really shows how much the owners and managers care about your stay. This 28 room place is quite a find not only because of its nice accommodations and the wonderful town of Ephraim, but this place offers some excellent price points as well. Wow – we met with Dick and Julie Corcoran who own the Ephraim Motel, and we took our tour.

First of all, the common areas and grounds around the place are very nice. For example, in the main building, there is a sitting room or lounge area with tables, lounge chairs and a fireplace. This is a very cozy room, and here coffee and rolls are served daily to start your day! This is a great place to gather, meet your friends before your day out, or just to relax. We like touches like this.

The Grounds and Outdoor Amenities!

The surrounding grounds and building are well maintained. Again mindful your enjoyment, BBQ grills are on the peaceful grounds for your use, as well as picnic tables and a sand play area for children with swings and more – yes, children are welcomed (but no pets)!

We also wandered around the back and took a look at the outdoor heated pool and sun deck! I can tell you, you get an awful lot for your money at this place – we were impressed with that is offered and at such great rates! Check their website for current rates, but you will like what you see!

The Rooms: even in peak season, most are under $100!!

We headed to check out the rooms. Again, they offer 28 total rooms, 3 with king beds, 13 with queens, and 12 with double beds. We like when places offer a variety of options like this – it makes it handy when traveling with a family, couples, or with friends. All rooms are carpeted, have cable TV, air conditioning, a fridge, microwave, and a full bath/shower. Nice decorative and homey touches like floral sprays, framed art prints on the walls, and other nice touches abound.

Room 103 – this is a cozy room with double beds, wrapped in floral printed quilts, all the amenities mentioned above, and a nice bathroom – with the sink outside the main bathroom – again, this is quite handy that the sink can be available while the bathroom is in use when people are getting ready in the morning to head out for the day.

Room 114 – offers a queen bed, again with all the amenities and nice touches. A couple of cushion chairs complete the room offering added comfort.

The rooms are well kept, clean, comfortable and guests really like them. Guests generally comment about the price and value, the cleanliness of the rooms, the location (right in the middle of Door County really, in a beautiful town) and the outdoor heated pool which is always in use when it is open (from mid-May through mid-September).

We think you will enjoy this place. What a value – you really get a lot for your money at the Ephraim Motel! Please check out the Ephraim Motel website right now for current rates and availability – and please tell Dick and Julie that DoorCountyNavigator.com sent you!
