Trio  continues to excel in great food. We continue to dine at Trio as often as we can, and always come back!  You will too!  And 2012 marks Trio's 20th season!  In conjunction with 20th season, Trio will offer select bottles of wine for $20.  Talk to Jerry or your wait person!

TrioThey keep the place humming and to a well-played tune: great food, reasonable prices, and a very nice selection of entrees and wine that would please most people. We always recommend Trio to our users - we like it that much!

Trio, on the corner of 42 and E, is a more modern looking building that houses one terrific restaurant! We would have to say, that all things considered, this is one of our favorite (if not the favorite) restaurant in Door County! It is open for dinner only, so it's doors open around 5PM, and it seats the last customers around 9PM. The food is excellent. They change the eclectic menus about every couple of weeks or so (maybe 5 or 6 times during the season), with some items on the menu most of the time, like bowtie pasta with smoked salmon (excellent!), and if they have Italian Sausage with Cassis, order it - it is simply the best, served over polenta!  We have eaten almost everything on the menu and area always very pleased.

New Offering!

Trio now offers a 3 course prixe fixe menu Monday - Wednesdays, between 5PM (opening) and 6:30PM, which includes a house salad, choice of entree and choice of dessert for $21.95.  That's a nice offering at a good price, in our opinion.

This place gets very crowded, and fast. And reservations are really for 6 or more only - so if you have fewer people in your party, I would call ahead and tell them you want to dine there, and see what time is best )or see if they can put you on a wait list while you travel TO the restaurant). From our experience, get there when they open and you can usually get in for a seating (not to say there won't be a line when they open!). If not, you may wait up to an hour to be seated after you get there. But it is still worth it, and you can drink a glass of wine while you wait.

They have a very nice selection of wines and bottled beer to choose from. A nice bottle of Pinot Grigio and Italian Sausage with Cassis and I am in heaven! Jerry, one of the owners, is usually one of the greeters and shows you to your table, and he is busy helping with setting the tables, bringing out food and everything else a hard working owner would be doing. The other owner is Ron - and he is often busy whipping up these fantastic dishes in the kitchen! Once in a while you will see him come out near the bar area for a breather - so tell him "hello!"

These guys are terrific and run a first-class place. Try the homemade desserts too - they are creations made in-house and are always excellent - the bread pudding is heavenly! You will enjoy the ambiance of the place too. Jerry designed the interior and it is beautiful. In the courtyard behind the place you can wait for your table in a beautiful garden setting. Children are welcomed but keep them minding their manners.

We have brought many , many people to the Trio, and everyone has really enjoyed it. Many of the local business owners dine here as well - which is always a good sign. We love this place, and we think that when you are dining out in Door County, you must make Trio one of your stops - dinners only, so plan on it! Open in season, from about mid-May through about the 3rd week in October. On your next trip, head to Trio and please tell them that DoorCountyNavigator.com sent you!

Enjoy - you will!
