We have stayed at the Inn and know lots of people who have stayed at the inn and it is one super place. The main house has rooms upstairs, each with a private bath. Most rooms and cottages have fireplaces, period furnishings from the 1800's (some are from the original inn!), and wallpapers and window treatments that tie it all together! Dr. Welcker, who founded the inn in 1896, has a suite named after him, and this suite has a fireplace, queen-sized bed, and double-whirlpool. There are a variety of sizes of rooms to choose from, with some opening up to the balcony in the front overlooking Main Street! There are a total of 3 suites in the main house (the Lodge), and then there are rooms in the larger cottages as well as entire cottages to rent as well. The Henriette's Cottage was named after Dr. Welcker's wife, then there's the Stowaway Cottage, The Charles Lundberg House, and more!

Each room and accommodation is meticulously appointed and shows the talent and touch or the innkeepers, Andy and Jan Coulson. They are wonderful innkeepers, and run a first class inn. The restaurant in the main house (the Lodge) reminds you of the old Bob Newhart show where he ran an inn in Vermont. It just is captivating to sit, relax and dine for breakfast, lunch or dinner - all of which are spectacular, including the Fish Boil that happens 4 times a week (see our restaurant review).

They even have the Foster Olson House, which is about a block away from the inn, and boasts two bedrooms, a living room with fireplace, full kitchen, sleeper sofa and more.

A newer 4-unit cottage, just to the east of the inn, is spectacular, and of course, appointed to be consistent with the rest of the inn. With private balconies, whirlpools, and a whole lot more, you will love this traditional addition to the White Gull Inn!

They do get booked quickly, and if there is a particular room, cottage, or suite that you want, it is best to think way ahead! People have booked their rooms as they check out for the next year!
