Wilsons Restaurant & Ice Cream Parlor is one of the most talked-about and photographed places on the peninsula, and is a building that dates from the turn-of-the-century. Why? Well, first, the location is second to none – just on the east side of Hwy 42, with nothing blocking a magnificent view of the waters of Ephraim if you are sitting out under the bright red and white awning outside! Second, the food is good, and the ice cream even better! Wilson’s is sometimes mistakenly called Wilson’s Ice Cream Parlor, and other names when folks try to remember it – because the ice cream is a genuine experience. We love this place!
The restaurant has the definite look and feel of an ice cream parlor, and serves sandwiches and other relatively quick meals as well as its very good ice cream. So, if you really crave ice cream, but are hungry first – go to Wilson’s, get through a very nice meal, and order up a giant sundae, or double dip waffle cone! Oh, one bit of trivia – you will ALWAYS find a jelly bean at the very bottom of your waffle cone! It’s a bit of local trivia, but it also stops some of the dripping! We met with Tim, the man who invented the jelly bean concept when he owned Wilson’s! Look for it – Wilson’s is a very pleasant experience! We love this place! And the view of the water is wesome from the porch!
