Step in to Galileo's, and step into Tuscany, Italy! This elegant series of rooms impeccably designed and furnished, hosts special fine dining dinners with a great menu and wine list. New, or more appropriately "reinvented," in 2011, Galileo's Italian Food, is gaining in recognition consistently. We love the food, the ambiance and the people. The Anchor Pub is also located within Galileo's, which usuallly runs a "social hour" (READ: HAPPY!) starting at 3PM each day.
As Pam and Richard say (who own all of Liberty Square, including Galileo's:
"Galileo’s Italian Restaurant at Liberty Square in Egg Harbor opens for dinner beginning at 4pm. Galileo’s encourages Door County casual dress & provides a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy your time in Door County. From mouth-watering seafood to our perfectly prepared Italian pasta; healthy, delicious menu items are served with flair.

We wanted to make sure you ware aware of it now, right now - you will like this place a whole lot, because it is molto bene! We have dined here many times already and return regularly. I would highly recommend the pasta Bolognese, which was sweet with ricotta cheese, traditional meat sauce and plentiful. Extremely tasty, and the pasta was perfectly al dente - excellent.
The bread with garlic and rosemary oil was very good.
We also had an order of Bruschetta, which was 6 thin pieces of toasted bread with basil and cheese, with a small bowl of tomato and onion medley in a balsamic-based mixture. Fresh and good, and the touch of cheese is different.
A perfect wine with the meal was a bottle of Casi di Campo, which is rich and subtle at the same time, with some fruit notes (citrus) and once it's past the middle of your tongue, poof - it is gone! Well priced at about $24 a bottle.
On return visits we have had the veal picatta, which was perfectly done, lightly breaded and came with sauteed veggie slices and we ordered, as an included side, the Bistro potatoes. All were excellent.
Another reviewer orderd the Grilled Salmon (Norwegian) with a fragrant orange dill sauce atop it. Also with side of the sauteed veggies, and garlic mashed baby red potatoes. Salmon was done to order perfectly according to one of our fussiest reviewers, and all else was delicious. On this trip, we also had a glass of Malbec, and for fun, a Belini.
Service was excellent, friendly and thorough.
The rooms are gorgeous and the solid mahagany bar is outstanding. This is first-class appointments all the way. The menu offers many choices from antipasti, salads, sides, pastas and steaks, fish and more!
Available by reservation 8am - 4pm for luncheon groups Galileo's is a great place to hold your next gathering. After 5 PM, the elegant dinners start-up. These guys doing everything first-class, all the way.
And the Door County Deli at Liberty Square, part of the Liberty Square shops, offers a lot of the wines, as well as other gourmet food items, for purchase. This is first class all the way.
The owners have done a remarkable job in transforming the entire Liberty Square complex into a desired destination for all travelers to Door County.
In addition, The Bistro Bar and Grille restaurant is available for casual dining from May - October too. So call the folks at Galileo's Italian Steakhouse & Bar – this is really a great part of the fun in Door County now!
